"Summer Breeze"

While spending time at my summer retreat along the Currituck inlet in northern North Carolina, I often grabbed a cup of coffee and waded into clear water for sometimes long distances. The warm moist air of the summer was particularly peaceful during this time the day. Crayfish scurrying across your feet and birds of all species flying overhead completed the feeling of contentment. The boat in the painting existed as I painted it, but adding a Great White Heron completed the scene as I fondly remembered a long time ago.
